Our latest Art Editions initiative is a celebration of the synergistic, symbiotic relationship between the visual and musical arts. PORTRAITS FOR BLANK FORMS brings together historic Blank Forms contributors across mediums and generations, honoring our foundational interest in work that hybridizes and transcends genre. Over the next two years, we will roll out five artists’ interpretations of five musicians, starting with Albert Oehlen’s lithograph of Sun Ra (pictured above). Portraits from Simone Fattal, Sanya Kantarovsky, Giangiacomo Rossetti, and Kara Walker will be made public soon, and individual editions will become available for purchase in the coming months. 

For one month only, we will make available ten subscriptions at the early-access price of $5,000. Subscribers will receive all five portraits over the next two years; each portrait they receive will be among the first ten numbered editions of the print series. All proceeds will go toward artists’ fees, commissions, and archival work for our 2025–26 season.
